Overview
North Coast Logistics (NCL) is a second-generation, woman-led 3PL provider. The organization had outgrown their DOS-based warehouse management system and were struggling with manual processes, lost revenue and rising customer expectations. Background A legacy system and growing expectations
Founded in 1992, North Coast Logistics (NCL) is a Midwest-based third-party logistics provider offering shared-space warehousing and transportation services. The company serves a broad range of industries — from general merchandise to chemicals and hazardous materials — and meets or exceeds strict regulatory, safety, service and cost-effectiveness standards. More than a service provider, NCL positions itself as a long-term partner in its customers’ success.
When Talour Avdek-Gazey stepped into the role of President in 2017, she inherited a company with a strong operational legacy and an equally strong sense of mission. But she also recognized the limitations of its aging, paper-based systems. With customers demanding real-time visibility and internal teams burdened by manual workarounds, it was time for a reset.

“Our customers were asking for better technology, faster turnaround, more visibility. And internally, we knew we were burning time on manual billing, inventory errors and delays. We needed a system that could scale with us.”
